Overview
Go on site visits and complete reports based on what I learned there
Skills
I have improved my understanding of knowledge I have gained in University due to being provided context through the placement and improved my writing skills through completing reports
Responsibilities
As this is my first year in the scheme I feel I was given little responsibility as I had no project and it was just a learning opportunity however from what I've heard the second year has an increased responsibility with an overarching project to complete which could be used in the company
Support & Guidance
I was able to ask a lot of questions to learn more about each facet of the job I watched and had multiple people I could talk to if I needed assistance with anything
Culture
overall it was a good atmosphere, however I would assume it would vary depending on which team and location you attend
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement and recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity to take part without having to relocate as temporary accommodation can be a struggle to find
Yes
make sure you find accomodation early as it can be a struggle to find closer to the date and be aware that they can be quite slow in processing the interns
