Overview
Day-to-day role typically varies, often comprised of site visits and completing a variety of work set by the team. Work can vary from excel cash flows to developing fee schedules, or building decks for client pitches for example.
Skills
This internship has enabled me to build upon my critical analysis, regularly having to evaluate the viability of sites for clients, and in turn further develop my excel skills. Also, the emphasis placed on networking with colleagues has helped create lasting connections and build confidence within an office environment.
Responsibilities
Throughout the internship, the team were welcoming and trusted me to work on projects that needed attention. As time goes on, you are able to take on more responsibility as you understand the tasks at hand.
Support & Guidance
With my team being in everyday, it was really helpful to be able to chat and ask questions when I needed help. Also guiding us as interns, HR provided regular check ins and organised great meetings and networking sessions with other people in the business.
Culture
A welcoming and friendly environment, where you are encouraged to get involved and meet as many people as you can. From a graduate to senior level, everyone is willing to talk, give advice or help answer any questions you might have.
Your Impressions
It was a great opportunity to try a new part of the sector that I hadn't previously explored, and meet lots of people in the business. I'm thankful to have been given a place on the scheme, and it was a great taster of what it's like to work at Savills.
Yes
Be friendly, knowledgeable and open to tackling new challenges with open arms. Every day is different, so try showcase your willingness to learn and adapt to new environments.
