Overview
Varied work with calcs, reports, and various actuarial concepts. Heavy focus on meeting as many people and expanding the network
Skills
I have developed a much wider and practical understanding of how Actuarial work is applied in the real world.
Responsibilities
Initially, it was difficult to get much responsibility, but as trust grew within the team, I began to get more freedom and complexity in the work I did. The latter half of the year I did a lot of work that I felt was trusted to me.
Support & Guidance
Support was very strong and always available. The office made an effort to provide advice or assistance at any time.
Culture
Incredibly positive, warming and friendly. It was very clear Aon employ people they feel would be able to provide a positive influence to those around them, and I felt everyone I met genuinely wanted each other to do well.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship, and am extremely grateful for the opportunity.
Yes
Take advantage of everyone's readiness to mentor and indulge in asking as as any questions and getting involved with as many people as possible. Make use of any networking you can to meet as many people as possible.
