Overview
- Supporting the internal communications team with executing planned employee engagements events and initiates - Day to day activities include writing and management of the International intranet, media analysis and research and project management - Have the opportunity to work closely with members of the communications team in Boston - Be an integral part of a dynamic International team

Responsibilities
My manger we on medical leave for 2 weeks during a busy period at work, I stepped up and worked closer with her manager (Senior Director for Communications) to be on-hand for very projects, one main one being the Q2 Town Hall and creating slides for the SVP and Head of International Commercial, GIACO and Global Marketing.
Support & Guidance
I had a great amount of support not only from my manager and the International comms team but also the global comms team and colleagues outside of comms as well. Additionally, we had a lot of support from Brendan Bacon, the Talent Acquisition Manager
Culture
The company has a very unique culture and one my own goals align with very well. I felt comfortable enough to speak up if I needed to and I felt very safe and secure in my work environment.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my work placement, I felt very valued and respected despite only being an intern.
Yes
The fast-paced environment may seem daunting/overwhelming at first but don't let this stop you from raising your hand - no question is stupid. There are so many people who are willing to support you and I strongly encourage you to take every opportunity that comes your way as this is the best way to learn and navigate new challenges.
