Overview
- Given work from client teams such as funding updates, quarterly cashflows, transfer value calculations - A lot of work done involves the handling of Excel spreadsheets & functions - Sometimes VBA macros were employed in Excel - Drafting of pension scheme member newsletters and other documents - Use of Hymans internal systems to project, visualise and update pension scheme data - Group project was to update learning and development materials - Learning of actuarial concepts within pension sphere

Responsibilities
Yes, we were expected to have client-critical tasks finished by certain deadlines. We were given meaningful work
Support & Guidance
Everyone at the firm, with various levels of seniority, was incredibly helpful and friendly - you really could ask anyone for guidance and they would try their best to assist you. You were also allocated a 'buddy' and a people manager as your personal liaison for any issues, personal or professional.
Culture
Company culture is relaxed and friendly, but focused on producing a high standard of work.
Your Impressions
Very much so - couldn't have asked for a kinder company. The experience was immensely educational and I met lots of wonderful people.
