Building Visualisations in Python and Bquant Calculating and inputting Portfolio constraints Backtesting quant strategies and analysing results
Skills
Financial knowledge came on massively across Accounting, Equity Research and Fixed Income from the training. Trading challenge improved my macro knowledge and understanding. Bloomberg and Excel knowledge Understanding of Quant strategies and backtesting BQL and Bquant
Responsibilities
Yes I was given full responsibility for my own research, projects and constructing a fund. Everything was double checked and tested by someone else but I had my own tasks to do.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of guidance and support. Everyone was willing to help me and give up their time to speak to me. People were also understanding when I made mistakes. I am very grateful to my team for this.
Culture
Excellent culture overall. Very open and friendly but still with a strong drive and ambition. A lot of very intelligent and hard working people who are happy to teach you things and guide you. I loved my experience
