Overview
My role as a fixed income intern is to work alongside my team on a designated project that I then get to present to the Fixed Income floor at the end of my rotation. The role also involves networking, and learning as much as you can about the team and company as a whole.
Skills
Yes. I have learnt skills in excel, financial modelling, powerpoint, and I have improved upon my existing interpersonal and networking skills
Responsibilities
Yes. Every intern was directly and individually responsible for their own project that they were tasked with presenting
Support & Guidance
Very sufficient amount. The people in our team and even beyond the team were always willing to help and fostered a very conducive learning environment. I was never made to feel less than for any silly questions or knowledge gaps
