Overview
Accurate simulation of the job of an equity research analyst. Working on our own schedule, researching a stock and its industry in the 8days allocated per stock, and modelling its future performance, financials and valuation.
Skills
Data analysis, financial modelling, presenting an investment idea
Responsibilities
Significant. No decisions were to be made on our recommendations, but the internship reflects accurately the responsibility of the actual job.
Support & Guidance
A lot. The support network is great for technical questions, and early careers are great for assisting on personal matters
Culture
Amazing. Everyone is very friendly and easy to talk to, pleasant atmosphere at all times
Your Impressions
Unfortunately some personal issues occurred during the internship, but the programme itself is great. The equity programme however seemed to be more intense than others, and as pointed out by some company employees, in a way also more intense than the actual job. It is an incredible learning experience, but very tough mentally.
Yes
Don’t allow the pressure to sink in, focus on enjoying it, at a comfortable and sustainable pace
