Overview
The role involved shadowing different people within the team and gain insight into the various systems within the building. As part of the programme, there were a lot of site visits and inspections. Job includes learning about mechanical and electrical aspects within the built environment. Helping with various engineering calculations. Also included report writing.
Skills
Technical, organisational and time management skills. Use of new software including Power Bi and IES.
Responsibilities
Working as an intern didn't include serious responsibilities. It was more of a learning journey rather than doing.
Support & Guidance
Overall the team was highly supportive. Whenever support was needed someone was there to offer help. The level and guidance provided was outstanding.
Culture
Very friendly and supportive.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed the internship and it was an incredible opportunity. I'm pretty sure the insights I have gained will be extremely helpful later in my career.

You should definitely apply if you have interest within the built environment. Tailor your CV and cover letter to the job description. It would be helpful if you do some research about the work being done by the team you're applying to.
