The Role
Although the work itself was challenging the support network meant it was easier to attempt.
Everyone within the department was approachable and willing to help. If I was stuck on anything they were more than willing to explain the difficult aspects to me.
I was given work that reflected the varied work a trainee experience. On days I was allowed to work on my case study. I think this provided a good balance.
I was not given that much responsibility because my supervisor gave me work that he had been given so we worked on things together.
1.We were asked to take part in a group exercise, this activity developed skills for working well in a team, such as speaking and listening. 2. We were asked to read a case study and provide a written summary of it, this developed my writing skills. 3. We were asked to present the case study during an interview, this developed my communication and presentation skills. All of which shall be useful in my degree studies and beyond.
The Company
Everyone was quite chatty and approachable so there was a good environment in the office.
We were given presentations everyday and had a social every Thursday.
Subsidised Canteen
The Culture
There are several sporting and marketing activities to get involved in.
