Overview
My role is based within the Estate Management team, which means I have an incredibly varied role. Tasks range from, but are in no way limited to, on site visits to dealing with utilities. I really appreciate the responsibilities and trust I have been given in my internship to deal with tasks and projects myself and contact clients and contractors.
Skills
My organisation skills have improved and being able learn from highly skilled directors has been very valuable. Moreover, people interaction and customer facing, I now feel very confident talking to clients be it in person or on the phone. My Excel skills have developed further, constantly utilising spreadsheets to analyse and present information in an efficient manner.
Responsibilities
I was given a great deal of responsibility, left to manage tasks and projects by myself, these where live projects and needed to be complete to a high standard for the clients. moreover, going to help with house viewings, run errands, write heads of terms and sort important contracts. Majority of the time I felt like I was just like any other employee rather than an intern which was really nice.
Support & Guidance
The support I have received at Savills from all members of staff has been first class. Everyone ensures you are okay and always encourages you to ask questions, no matter what level they are in the business, everyone has time for you.
Culture
Excellent culture, everyone is hugely supportive of one and another and celebrates all achievements. Everyone from all teams and levels interact in a very friendly manner and all seem to be very invested in one and another
Your Impressions
I have thoroughly enjoyed my internship, the insight and learnings I have taken out of it have been incredibly beneficial. Moreover the network I have developed has been an opportunity I don't think I would have been able gain anywhere else
Yes
Be very thorough in your applications, be very well researched, passionate and interested. But most importantly demonstrate/highlight your people skills.
