The Role
I've had an amazing year with IBM
My team has always been supportive and made my year very well rounded
My task manager and personal development manager were both amazing in guiding and advising me
The workload fluctuates depending on the time of year
I have been given many opportunities to take ownership and I have been happy to take them - the more responsibility I was given, the more skills I learnt
I have definitely learnt skills which will help me achieve highly in my final year and my efficiency with my studies will be even better.
The Company
There are times when you just have to get on with work, as certain periods can be extremely busy. However, having the chance to volunteer and the different socials with the team and other interns provides a great balance.
The Foundation scheme makes sure all interns are well taken care of and supported. Along with the organistaion of my task manager, I never felt out of place.
The Foundation scheme in IBM takes the personal development of each intern or grad very seriously. I was guided to keep track of my development and discuss in frequent sessions with my development manager.

I am applying back and feel confident about returning. Loved my year and definitely want to return!
The Culture
The interns were very social. IBM has a big intern community and there were tons of socials - lots of fun
Well, its London so not the cheapest but you can find some reasonable bars and restaurants - plus some places give a discount to IBMers!
Night life in London - always a good time!
Giveback is the chance to volunteer or start up an initiative of your own. From mentoring to building computers, to seminars for women in the workplace - the opportunities are truly endless
