Overview
Working on testing various FSA’s such expenses of an Audited entity to gain assurance. For more junior sections typically a lot of ticking invoices.
Skills
Have improved the following - Analytical skills - problem solving skills - Professional communication
Responsibilities
Typically placement students are given more junior sections with lower risks. However, as I gained more experience during the placement I was given more responsibility for higher risk areas such as revenue and journals testing. But you will always be responsible for the sections assigned to you during your time on each job.
Support & Guidance
Lots of support given throughout with people on your job coaching you at all times. Friendly and open culture to ask questions.
Culture
Generally a nice friendly culture with a lot of young professionals working towards their ACA. But is quite strict when it comes to failing exams.
Your Impressions
Overall I definitely enjoyed working on various different companies in different sectors and learning how different companies are run. However, the day to day work is quite boring and busy season is very stressful.
Yes
Just make sure you know how stressful the ACA is and you’re prepared to put in the work for the exams.
