    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

    • I was involved with preparing accounts for companies, using CCHAPS to create the accounts and amend any changes such as adding journals to the trial balance. I utilised an auditing software to audit individual sections of an account such as wages and salaries, finding relevant documents to verify the numbers calculated in the accounts. I also completed multiple call and casts to ensure the details in the accounts were correct.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

    • I've learnt how to use an auditing software called ProAudit and CCHAPS which is an accounts production software. Within both of these programs I have familiarised myself with most of the functions needed to complete an audit and create a completed set of accounts. I also learnt new accounting terminology and fortified former accounting knowledge with these programs.
