Overview
Rotated on two desks, an Equity Research desk and a Commodity Sales desk. Tasks included deep research into companies and commodities, presentation creation and stock pitches. Also included lots of shadowing of employees across the bank.
Skills
How to thoroughly research companies, read balance sheets and form opinions on company health. How to network and communicate with bank employees of all levels of seniority.
Responsibilities
Received lots of responsibility in research, meeting corporates and summarising calls and meetings. Less chance to do so in sales but still more than expected.
Support & Guidance
HR was extremely helpful and supportive throughout the process. My managers guided me well throughout the internship, offering advice and support.
Culture
Amazing culture, kind, hard working people always willing to talk to interns and provide advice. Great team spirit on the desks too.
