Overview
Intern in the Commercial Valuations team focusing on valuations for loan security. Given full responsibility to conduct due diligence for each project and deadlines in place to send drafts and capital value or rental figures to clients. Spaced out throughout the month here were departmental overviews for all areas of the Savills business. Great to network with other people in our Finsbury Office but also going to Margaret Street to work with the teams.
Skills
Learnt how to be concise and analysis only relevant pieces of information to add to reports which is more efficient. Developed my commercial awareness to be better informed when speaking to Directors and other areas of the business.
Responsibilities
Complete solo responsibility and trust from my team to carry out inspections, due diligence and finish the reports. But also had the flexibility to ask questions in terms of specific requirements for the client and how Savills present findings.
Support & Guidance
Full support and guidance from my mentor and my team. Everyone was so helpful and willing to guide and explain areas of uncertainty. Also comfortable receiving constructive criticism on the work I produced.
Culture
My team was amazing! The atmosphere of the company was a little cold at times in terms of speaking to people in the communal areas. Certains days seemed busier than others so understandable for that reception.
Your Impressions
The work I carried out and was involved with alongside my team was great. The social opportunities were limited apart from what I did with my team.

Be prepared! Do research prior in terms of commercial awareness knowledge and practice elevator pitches to have the confidence to start conversations with everyone.
