  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

    • Day-to-day I shadow traders and sales people learning about what they do, I write a daily update on what has happened/is happening in markets, I have completed various short project that include data analysis and designing/testing trading strategies and I have worked on a longer term project to design and present a trading strategy

    • I was given some responsibility. I was responsible for writing a daily update for the team on market events and I was responsible for multiple shorter projects throughout the internship.

    • I received a lot of support and guidance, HR and the development team were very helpful, my manager guided me well and everyone across the trading floor and broader bank was open to sitting with me and explaining what they do and relevant technicals

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Wells Fargo

    • When applying, be aware of the fact that Wells is growing their investment back a lot especially in EMEA, be very aware of what is happening in markets as they ask a lot of questions about commercial awareness in interviews, the interviews are however not very technical
