Overview
FTP is the spider in the bank's web; it charges funding costs to businesses for taking on assets and remunerates liability side business for stalling cash. My role was looking into liquidity ratio skew data and performing analysis on trends. TSG is a back-end low-code development team in the back office of DB. My main tasks was learning about automation tools and helping out on running projects.
Skills
I developed my skills on three major levels: 1) Financial literacy and ability 2) Technical applications through LCNC platforms 3) Interpersonal and collegial skills
Responsibilities
The amount of responsibility you can take up in a role depends highly on the team that you are in. If the learning curve is very steep and the impact of your work very high, you reigns won't be as loose as when you can work on recurring or longer-term project tasks. I am reasonably satisfied with the responsibility I was given in my 2 rotations, as my main objective was personal development and learning.
Support & Guidance
Every team within the CFO division is filled with people very eager to help you with any query or learning target you have.
Culture
DB has a very open and human working culture, meaning that you really are a person instead of a cog in a machine, even during just a 4 week rotation in the team.
Your Impressions
A lot.
Yes
Be yourself and go into the interviews with an open mind. For the assessment tests, you can practice online, they are your typical tests.
