Overview
Trained to be shift leader where I looked after colleagues, did safe and legal checks, duty and was the go to person for colleagues.
Skills
- leadership skills - developed customer service skills - communication skills - presentation skills - time management - working collaboratively
Responsibilities
I was given lots of responsibility but also always had someone that was there if I needed anything.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support in my store with my managers but I did find the communication with the head office sometimes quite difficult.
Culture
The company culture was really good. Working with the managers was amazing and they were all so helpful.
Your Impressions
I loved my placement! I loved working in stores and I was able to develop many important skills and meet lots of new people in different areas of the business.
Yes
The advice I would give is to take every opportunity they give you. There is lots you can get out of Tesco and you should definitely use all the resources they have.
