Overview
Helped the team complete competitor research, attended larger team meetings as well as learning events. Spent a lot of time analysing competitor performance from a Customer Experience perspective and developed proposals to improve Tesco's performance
Skills
Learned how to use numerous project management tools and insight platforms, developed time management skills and presentation capabilities. Built a network and learnt how to create meaningful professional relationships.
Responsibilities
I had quite a lot of responsibility and autonomy but I did receive help/support throughout
Support & Guidance
I did receive a lot, some guidance was lacking in terms of centrally organised events and learning opportunities for the interns but my line manager was very supportive and helpful, took a lot of time to answer my questions and to review my work.
Culture
Exceeded expectation, there is a great lack of hierarchy where seniority is taken into account but leadership team members are very open and easy to reach. There is a lot of flexibility in terms of preferred ways of working and the atmosphere is generally quite relaxed, with fun events happening often and freebies being given out weekly
Your Impressions
I did, it was a great way to spend the summer, the intern cohort was lovely as well as the wider team, it was not too stressful and I learnt so much.
