The Role
Brilliant Experience – looking to go back as a Graduate.
This goes on the longer you are there, by the end of my placement the customer was lamenting that I would be leaving and concerned of the loss of productivity of the team. So it can’t have been too bad.
My Line management was excellent, however my personal manager was not the relationship it could have been.
I don't really agree that this is a numerical measure, I was extremely busy, but that was because I chose to be so. You have the chance to take on as much responsibility as you like
Above and beyond what you would normally expect,
In terms of how useful it was for Uni I am not sure, however you quickly learn how the real world works which is invaluable.
The Company
The Atmosphere was great, working on a client site with a local team allowed everyone to pull together and we regularly socialized outside of the office.
To some extent it is what you make of it, but not only that, it’s what your line manager makes of it in terms of utilising your ability. Having said that My line manager was great.
I was still been given opportunities weeks before my final end date, I was very much taken seriously with my application back to IBM and the Senior management gave me their time to discuss my future.

Nothing is official at this stage but it's looking good.
The Culture
Not poor, not great, having said that this was mainly to do with the fact that London is a big place and not everyone could live too close to each other. It’s what you make of it though I had a great time down in London and made some good friends with the other circa 100 interns down south.
London is London. Don't expect any spare change from the end of your placement.
Be your own judge, biggest problem is most likely to be that you don't have the money to enjoy it too often.
Plenty to do from Sports to giving back to the community.
