Overview
Assisted colleagues and learnt about the different risk types. I was involved in a few projects and helped out where possible. I have given a mock pitch, pitching MUFG's services to a group of managers. I also presented to senior management for my findings on a project I worked on over a month.
Skills
Yes, I have developed presentation, excel, communication, Power BI and adaptability to new tech
Responsibilities
I was given some responsibility, but since I was junior, I didn't approve/send out reports but I did do a lot of research into existing policies and procedures. I also learnt some data analysis and how to show trends on graphs for presentations.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support from my managers, and managing directors - meaning that I was able to grow in my role. I was also supported by HR hugely, which was useful when changing rotation and general advice.
Culture
It was peaceful, and everyone was friendly. So, there aren't any complaints.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at MUFG, purely because everyone was willing to help me when possible, and I felt supported throughout my internship.
Yes
I would tell them to be honest about their knowledge and apply with the understanding that people aren't just looking for financial knowledge but also aptitude.
