Overview
International Patient Engagement (IPE) is responsible for bringing the patients’ perspective into our work and realising our core value of ‘uncompromising commitment to patients’. We do this by establishing meaningful collaborations with patient communities at national and international level, in CF and across the pipeline therapeutic areas. We work cross-functionally to inform strategies and plans at all stages of the lifecycle of a medicine.

Yes, I was given responsibility to lead various projects and to meet timely deadlines

Lots of support and guidance - everyone has been super helpful, friendly and welcoming to questions
Culture
There is a big "Speak Up" culture here at Vertex which, especially for a placement student, is reassuring and comforting as it shows that your colleagues truly want to hear from you and you feel comfortable to provide input
