    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • The internship was mostly an assessment from the company / the team. The point as an intern is to learn how a trading floor makes money, to discover financial products, to network on the floor and in the end to get a full time offer if successful. I was not given much responsibility and was not involved in clients discussions as I need to pass regulations for that.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • Strong support from HR with relevant answers consistently within a few minutes. Strong guidance from manager with weekly goals on Mondays, feedback sessions every two weeks. Strong cohesion between summer interns as well. I didn't feel any competition with other interns but rather friendship and support.

    Culture

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • The internship was hard and very demanding. I was consistently out of my comfort zone. But I do believe this is the best way to learn and grow. In only 2 months, I learnt as much as I would have learnt in more than one year otherwise. I really recommend this internship to any ambitious student interested by a career in financial markets.
