Overview
Worked within a team at Astrazeneca. I was given a 10 week project for my summer internship. This was mainly method development based.
Skills
Characterisation of a new technique. Experiment designing. Problem-solving every day. Confidence. Patience
Responsibilities
Yes. I lead my own project. So learnt the whole process. I was responsible for individuay planning all the experiments carried out as well as analysing the retrieved data.
Support & Guidance
A lot of support. No matter the problem, i was able to discuss it woth my supervisor, who was extremely patient with me and contributed to my skill development
Culture
A very positive mindset. The no blame culture is a great example of giving the workers freedom and responsibility for their own actions. Everyone was very friendly in the workspace
Your Impressions
I very much enjoyed my internship. I was able to develop a much better understanding of all the necessary steps for method/experiment development. This was an exciting process and gave me new challenges every day.
