Overview
Immersed in the client facing roles within Bloomberg aiding specialists and account managers in their workflows. Attending client visits to showcase new functions and gain intel. Concluded each week with a calling competition reaching out to clients to showcase a certain campaign or function while gaining intel. Projects included portfolio management using a brief and working as a team to compile a portfolio and also an innovation project to foster change within Bloomberg.
Skills
My client skills have improved immensely by being at the forefront of the client interactions even leading some meetings. This was supplemented with extensive training on Bloomberg functions and the financial markets.
Responsibilities
From day 1, we were given extensive responsibilities being trusted to speak directly with clients across the markets. This was supported with mentorship and trainings to prepare us even more for the experiences when you learn.
Support & Guidance
Each department you are in you are given a mentor, manager and also a mentor from another business area. Alongside this, everyone in the firm is more than happy to help from your buddy to someone in another department
Culture
It is not a lie when anyone from Bloomberg says that everyone is welcoming and friendly. My experience has proved that you can approach anyone in the office or even across the world and they are more than happy to speak with you.
