Overview
Facilitating the team in tasks related to deals and pitches. These tasks included building power point decks, research, data inputting and more
Skills
Excel: I have improved upon my excel building as I have picked up short cuts from the team and used it more in my daily job Communication: When given tasks, I had to consistently report to my superiors and update them as well as when having multiple tasks, I had to make sure my superiors know if I had to prioritise another task over the one they had given
Responsibilities
I was given ample responsibility as I was given tasks going into decks for client meetings and projects. I was also given research responsibility going directly to senior bankers/managers.
Support & Guidance
The team provided a lot of support and guidance throughout the internship as I was able to ask various questions related to the task, industry and overall project.
Culture
The team had a very hardworking and ambitious culture but still took out time to help out us interns whenever we required it.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship because of the hardworking yet supportive nature of the team that helped me improve my skillset and learn so much about the industry.
Yes
I would say to go into the internship with an inquisitive mind - show that you have been proactive and are learning about the industry you would like to go into but also show you are willing to learn more from the firm and teams.
