Overview
A day as a Capital One software intern includes writing Java code, pair programming, a lot of excursions to interesting places. The internship program is essentially work as a software engineer after onboarding.
Skills
Yes I have both learned a lot of new skills and developed existing skills. This includes skills that I thought I was already good at.
Responsibilities
I was given a good amount of responsibility in form of a project that had a good amount of internal impact. It was not urgent work but it was really appreciated by the people using it.
Support & Guidance
A lot of support. I always had many options of people to ask questions. I had many catch ups with various people.
Culture
Culture was amazing. Everyone is super chill and I've met many people id hang out with outside of work. There are many celebration events including festivals etc.
Your Impressions

Yes
While the money is definitely less than other places the culture is amazing, so if you prefer the company environment it's for you
