Overview
I completed a personal analysis project over the course of the 10 weeks with implications that were important but not urgent. I presented my findings to my team, a senior director and other relevant stakeholders within the business at the end of the internship. I also attended team meetings and had regular 1-on-1 meetings with various people across the business.
Skills
Presentation, analytical, communication, coding skills. Improved skills of developing opinions, considering implications of analysis and drawing conclusions.
Responsibilities
Lots of responsibility. My project was important but not urgent, so not too much time pressure but had conclusions that were very much cared about across the business.
Support & Guidance
Lots. Had an excellent support network of my manager, mentor and buddy. There was also clear support outside of my team and management structure.
Culture
Very fun and welcoming. Not very pressurised.
Your Impressions
Thoroughly enjoyed it. The 10 weeks flew by very quickly.
Yes
Don't put too much pressure on yourself and just be yourself because they are looking for good people as much as potential job ability. They are also not expecting you to have the pre-existing skills. They just want to know that you have the ability to learn and develop.
