The Role
It has been such a valuable experience! fun bunch of friends made, great work colleagues and I've built great connections.
I have great relationships with many people and enjoy the banter of the office.
I would have liked to have had more than I did because I prefer to be guided and excel in the area following this. Other departments received greater guidance during the year.
Being busy is a good thing, enabling the building of valuable skill sets! to begin with I struggled but through having the work load I improved my prioritisation, time management and efficiency.
Often doing work for the Director of my department where the information is then used up to MD level. I was doing a real job, without an undergrad in the position they would hire a full time employee.
You can't put a rating system on how useful having this year has been! Vauxhall has shown me what the REAL working world is like and I am pleased that I have had the opportunity to learn my weaknesses and grow into my role of the months.
The Company
I was in a quiet area of the offices.
The Company organised it well, but departmentally I would have liked a more nurturing ethos.
Other people gained greater training and opportunities. But I was there to do a job, and a job I did!
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
There is good promotion prospects through the gradate program and it is a nice company to work for.
The Culture
Great bunch of undergrads and lots of them. and a cool team that I worked with.
Reasonable.
Luton where I was based is perhaps not most noted for it's fun and lively night life. But it's near London so great for that!
Charity sports events, fundraisers.
