Overview
The role involved working on a project related to the team I was a part of, and required a detailed set of data analysis using SQL and Excel. Based on the data, I had to analyse the current situation and identify the potential to enhance the current operations. Towards the end of the internship, I had to present all of my findings and recommendations to the entire team.
Skills
I had the opportunity to improve my coding skills in SQL, data analysis on Excel, presentation skills, interpersonal and innovative skills
Responsibilities
I was given my own project to work on, so I was given major responsibility during my internship. This means that I had the opportunity to work by myself, steer the project as per my thoughts and come up with feasible recommendations independently.
Support & Guidance
I received tons of support since week 1. The entire cohort received group trainings and individual trainings as per the project requirement. My manager, mentor and buddy were more than ready to help whenever I faced any issues or had questions.
Culture
The company culture is very nice, everyone is so friendly during work and is always ready to help.
Your Impressions
The internship was very well structure and planned, all the interns had a very insightful experience. At the same time, we always had social events on the side to enjoy together for leisure.
Yes
My advice to future capital one interns is that always ask questions and to be on top of things even if you are not expected to be during the first half of your internship.
