Overview
Worked on bids and projects. Looking at the economics of various projects. This included financial modelling and socioeconomic research for projects. It is normal for interns to pick up on admin such as CV work for bids and projects aswell.
Skills
I developed all of my IT skills, speaking to IT at the firm and colleagues in the economics department. They recommended new IT skills and platforms for me to better my IT knowledge. I also developed my research skills, including how to research more efficiently.
Responsibilities
I was given some tasks which directly went to a client/ bid. Which was responsibility, this included sorting out Gantt charts and CVs for projects.
Support & Guidance
My buddy was amazing. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better, really helpful and talked me through everything to make sure I understood how to do the role and how I could develop my skills better for the future.
Culture
The culture was great. The team were all really kind and generous with career advice. 5.30 pm everyone had gone home, except for a few (but that always happens).
Your Impressions
I loved it. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in economics.
