Overview
My role has involved helping the team on a project by delivering a calculation package detailing the forces and reactions in all of the beams/columns and bracing using hand calculations and software for more difficult scenarios. I have used a range of software packages to help me in my time at Buro Happold and have been given a range of tasks to work through along side this main task.
Skills
I have developed my hand calc skills a lot since joining. I have developed new skills with a range of software I hadn’t used before.
Responsibilities
I think I was given a fair amount of responsibility for my role.
Support & Guidance
Lots of support when needed.
Culture
Very friendly and welcoming. Would gladly work here full time with this group of people.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed the full on learning and being given real tasks for real projects. I also enjoyed going on the site visits and seeing the designs being implemented at stage 5 of the project.
Yes
Absolutely pick to work here without hesitation. Everyone is friendly and the office is a very pleasant place to work and in a great location. Interesting projects and a good balance for if you need to work from home.
