Overview
The job role involved active product development for new launches in the development kitchens alongside database management and data analysis. Lots of opportunities for project ownership and to try different things to see what suits you. On a day to day basis it involved lots of interaction within the team and when working on certain projects interaction with external suppliers and companies.
Skills
Hugely developed both hard and soft skills from confidence and interpersonal skills to enhanced data analysis and interpretation ability.
Responsibilities
Given lots of opportunities to lead projects, including the chance to be one of the lead product developers on a new product launch
Support & Guidance
Given lots of support from my different managers throughout the year and had a very supportive team. The mentor and buddy scheme were also very useful for career and personal guidance.
Culture
Really nice work culture. More senior staff felt approachable to talk to and there wasn't a hierarchy feel to the office which was nice. The opportunity to join different on site teams such as those that help the community was something I also valued and helped build a sense of office community.
Your Impressions
I had a really good time on my placement and loved the year and all the opportunities I got to experience.
Yes
Think creatively for the assessment centre and don't worry if your degree isn't directly applicable to the job role there is lots of support and guidance to help you learn
