Overview
Working with a range of CAD software (AutoCAD, Civils3D, Navisworks, Bluebeam). Read manuals to familiarise myself with this area of work. Designed drainage proposals. checked and designed pipe network models on CAD. Undertook some vehicle tracking.

Good support from ‘buddy’ and other team members across Manchester and Leeds offices.
Culture
Mostly young people so a sense of welcoming and camaraderie. Within the office, some cliques but within working environments, very eager to help.
Your Impressions
To a large extent, I enjoyed the placement. I felt welcome and part of the team, as well as getting much needed industry experience to carry forward to studies and for career development.
