    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Each day is generally different day to day, and the work you do will typically be based around different product launches throughout the year. You could be working on Product communications that get sent out to the network and internal TGB teams, completing pricing analysis to track our position vs competitors, assisting on the set up for a product launch or reviewing marketing collateral for product accuracy on our websites and brochures.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • In this role, you get given plenty of responsibility. The job you are doing has a meaningful impact in product launches. Without some of the work that you do a product update would not be successful as you are responsible for ensuring cars are set up correctly to be registered and you ensure the correct information is given to the industry and website. If some of the work you do was not done it would have a big impact on the launch of a product.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I felt really supported throughout my placement year. My manager and team were always supportive if I had any questions and on hand to have a call or meeting if needed. I was also given a mentor throughout a project each student undertakes as a guide from someone outside your team to offer guidance and offer a different perspective.

  • How would you rate the support and guidance from the wider team?

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • I could not fault the both the overall company culture and student culture. There is a huge emphasis on respect for people and you do feel that the organisation really values each individual. In terms of student culture, there is over 20 students that join each year on a placement year. This really improved the company dynamics as there are many people your age going through the same experience as you.

  • I throughly enjoyed my placement year. Not just from the incredible opportunities I was given work wise, but also the great people I met through the company which was possible due to the many social days organised by the company and sport and social club.
