Overview
I work largely in the competitor field so I spend my time collecting information on what products and claims competitors may be making in order to help us know which areas are becoming popular and to focus on.
Skills
I've learnt and developed skills such data collection, presentation, and visualisation. This placement has also allowed me to work on my resilience and professional demeanour.
Responsibilities
I was given tasks and left to complete them in order to work on my problem solving and ability to take initiative. Since it is a relatively short placement I wasn't given an enormous amount of responsibility but I felt I had a respectable amount of control and responsibility on the aspects I did work on.
Support & Guidance
I received an enormous amount of support from my line manager and coworkers alike. Even workers that were not directly in my team were always willing to lend a hand. Many were past placement students so that helped aid the welcoming environment.
Culture
Very open and inquisitive atmosphere. The workers are lovely and friendly and always working to make you feel welcome.
Your Impressions
I absolutely loved it, I wished I had chosen the year long one, I made some good friends here!
Yes
Be sure you're compatible with the mission statement and company values and you'll be great
