Overview
I was involved in the day-to-day operations of the materials team, assisting with different aspects of their projects. I gained experience in mechanical testing of composites and metals, carried out failure analysis, and helped with writing SOPs and reports.
Skills
Definitely! I improved my skills in materials testing, data analysis, and problem-solving as well as getting exposure to some of the different softwares and CAD programs used in such a work place.
Responsibilities
I was entrusted with significant responsibilities based on my capabilities and the team was always available to help if I had questions about the work I was doing.
Support & Guidance
I got great support and guidance from the team I was working with, they were happy to spend time explaining new concepts or tasks to me which taught me a lot.
Culture
Williams had a great company atmosphere, everyone was very supportive and motivated to succeed. It was clear they are all working towards a common goal and its a great atmosphere to work in.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my time with Williams and would 100% recommend them as an employer and hope to experience working there again.
Yes
I think the most important thing that teams will looks for is some that is willing to give that extra mile and can demonstrate that through their CV for the first review and in interviews as well. In your CV and cover letter I would try to refer to specific skills that experiences you have gained because they will be after for that too.
