Overview
I sit with two M&A sector teams to help on live deals and marketing materials. I worked with multiple colleagues for e.g. market research, company research, investor information and any ad-hoc requests from clients.
Skills
Yes, I have developed significantly in essential office skills that help me facilitate communication and presentation with different people.
Responsibilities
Yes, I felt I was given a lot of responsibility and autonomy in my work. At the same time I received a lot of guidance and support from colleagues.
Support & Guidance
Abundant support and guidance - colleagues at different levels and from different teams across the firm have given me a great deal of support, not only on my daily work and intern presentation but also wider industry knowledge and career development.
Culture
I felt the general culture was very collaborative. People support each other significantly not only within teams but also among teams and offices around the world.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it very much. It helps me understand what investment banking really is and develop crucial technical and soft skills. More importantly, I felt greatly supported by colleagues along the way.
