Overview
My role involves delivering the 3 areas that were outlined in my scope of work. On a day to day basis I am speaking with people from across MO and also working on my 3 deliverable areas
Skills
Yes loads! I never came across a Supplier code of conduct or a RFI/ RFP/ RFQ document so i built up experience within these 2 areas alongside meeting with key people from the procurement, risk, sustainability and operations teams which allowed me to leverage their experience to produce a higher quality of work
Responsibilities
I was given so much responsibility. Over the 6 weeks i never felt like i was on the side. I was always able to be at the heart of every meeting. So the level of responsibility far exceed what i thought an intern could have and this is why i developed so much during the 6 weeks
Support & Guidance
I received the perfect amount of support/guidance. The team were supportive especially at the start when i was trying to understand my scope of work, my manager sat down with me so i could understand it fully and they also allotted a slot every week for a ‘weekly check in meeting’ which was very helpful
Culture
It felt warm, welcoming and people and purpose led. I felt like i could have a chat with anyone It felt like people had a purpose behind the work that they were doing with MO and it made the culture really special as a result of this
Your Impressions
It was the perfect internship for me. I couldn't of asked for anything more from MO I learnt and developed more than i ever expected and i am grateful to them for letting me have an ownership of my work and giving me that responsibility
Yes
Yes, yes and yes!! The advice i would give is before going into the office on the first day. Understand the business, get a feel for what their purpose is and what impact they have through the motability scheme
