Overview
My responsibility was to work on a pre-determined intern project, which involved usage of multiple technologies of the company, as well as Python and Database. Overall, my intern project involved multiple steps, such as data collection, its transformation and visualization.
Skills
Yes, I developed my Python and SQL skills. I learnt to use new libraries in Python, as well as to write more complex SQL queries. Aside from that, I also got to use different internal technologies of the company, which was a great experience on itself!
Responsibilities
I would say yes. Since I've been working on one internal project for 3 months, it required a lot of effort. I could also sense how it was an important tool for my team. I could actually see the impact I am making, so I tried to do my best from the beginning till the end.
Support & Guidance
My whole team was eager to support me throughout my internship. Even when my mentor and team lead were out of the office or just busy with other tasks, any member of my team, even people outside of my team were ready to help me, which never stopped to fascinate me. I loved the working culture in the office!
Culture
Everyone in the office seemed to be happy and I felt like I belong here. Thanks to the events, organized by HR team for the interns, I could see that the company cared about me. Obviously, my team was caring and helpful too. They would give me advice on both technical and non-technical matters. They played a big role in my comfortable stay in London.
Your Impressions
I loved it! There are no words to describe how much it meant to me and what level of joy it brought. I fell in love with everything, my team, my intern project, the people outside of my team, the company, London and UK.
Yes
Do your best, never stop practicing, keep honing your technical skills, but most importantly, be a good person. Be friendly, helpful, kind, positive. I think company values people and their personalities, not the technical skills they possess. That's what eventually makes the office such a comfortable place to work.
