Overview
Working on a ticketing system providing support for users. Assisting the CSIRT team with their incident response.
Skills
Python, GIT, Powershell, Active Directory, CyberArk, Financial Markets, presentation skills.
Responsibilities
I was given responsibility within the team and responsibility to work on my own projects.
Support & Guidance
I had a mentor who I had weekly 1-1 meetings with. I had a Women-in-Stem mentor. I had monthly catchups with my manager to ensure I was happy in the work place and enjoying the work I was doing.
Culture
Everyone is really friendly and supportive. There is a good atmosphere and a no blame culture. People are able to work freely and enjoy the work they are doing.
Your Impressions
I loved my placement here at G-Research, the team were welcoming and friendly. The team were happy to teach me the different skills I needed for the job and allowed me to work at my own pace. This is one of the best if not the best internships to do.

Be yourself and have confidence in your abilities. It is a lovely work environment which you will strive in and you will learn so many skills.
