Skills
Over the past year, I’ve really focused on improving my skills in Seismic, making content management smoother. I’ve also supported the marketing team by providing more detailed analytical insights. My knowledge of Excel and HubSpot has grown, helping me create better reports and streamline workflows. I’ve enjoyed collaborating with different teams, which has strengthened my copywriting and marketing strategies. I’ve become more confident with Photoshop for visuals and social media too. Plus, I’ve worked on my interpersonal skills and teamwork, which has helped communication. I still rely on Microsoft Office, while staying up-to-date with digital marketing trends.
Responsibilities
During my placement, I was given a significant amount of responsibility, which helped me develop a wide range of skills. I was trusted to manage content through Seismic, assist the marketing team with analytical reports, and lead cross-team collaboration on various projects. I was also tasked with streamlining workflows in HubSpot and Excel, handling social media strategies, and creating visual content using Adobe Photoshop. These responsibilities allowed me to grow in areas like business marketing, copywriting, and digital marketing, while improving my interpersonal and teamwork skills, making me feel like a valuable part of the team.

During my placement, I received strong support and guidance from various sources. My manager provided clear direction and regular feedback, while the team offered hands-on assistance with daily tasks, especially when navigating tools like Seismic, HubSpot, and Excel. I also collaborated with other departments, gaining insights into cross-team projects and marketing strategies. I had a mentor who was always available to discuss my progress and provide advice on professional development. The placement coordinator and team ensured I had everything I needed, offering check-ins to make sure I was on track and making the most of the experience.

The atmosphere was fast-paced yet friendly, with a real sense of inclusivity and encouragement to share ideas. It felt like a place where everyone’s contributions were valued, and there were plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.
