    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Worked in Performance Marketing, for 6 months working across various different marketing campaigns including: Affiliate Marketing, Events, Email Marketing, ABM & more! I moved to Marketing Operations as part of the rotational placement where I got to experience contact acquisition, ABM, data analysis & more!

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I’ve massively increased my knowledge and confidence as a marketeer. The opportunity to run my own marketing campaigns gave me a clear insight into what goes into to forming data backed marketing plans. I also learned a lot about email marketing, affiliate marketing! I also got the chance to improve other skills such as my communication skills through engaging with internal and external stakeholders, as well as my public speaking skills.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was given a good amount of responsibility during my placement. The team placed their trust in me to complete tasks without micro-managing, which greatly helped me to get settled into the role. I was handed the responsibility to manage my own marketing campaigns, and left to run these independently whilst also being responsible with reporting performance to relevant stakeholders.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I received great support during my placement from all of the people I worked with! Everyone was always happy to answer and questions the came up & always encouraged me to ask as many questions as I needed to! The company also has an extensive development centre with lots of helpful training and guidance available 24/7. The use of LEAD reviews also provides a great chance for guidance from your manager in a formal setting.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture was very good & is set out to reward good performance as well as making colleagues feel valued. Lots of events in the office as well as team socials! All colleagues are made to feel like their ideas are valued and the atmospherein the office is good! Theres always someone willing to grab a coffee and have a chat if you want to bounce an idea of them!

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I really enjoyed my placement and would highly recommend Sage as an employer! I feel like I developed massively both personally and professionally during my 12 month placement and gained lots of valuable experience. Everyone you meet at the company are true experts of their fields and you can really leverage lots of great knowledge! They’re also all really great people and will make you feel really welcome to the company!
