Overview
My job as a career ambassador was to assist students in the careers hub which was a space designed for students to drop-in if they had any query careers related. We were trained to do quick checks on their CVs and cover letters or help them find guides to start building one.
Skills
I developed effective communication as the role entailed costumer service and organisation
Responsibilities
We were always given task to support the careers team and they encouraged us to be proactive

During all the internship I felt supported by my supervisor and the entire careers staff.

It was a great team to work with, everyone was very supportive

It was an invaluable experience to do this internship as a student, flexibility, support and networking were always there. I learnt a lot and am very grateful for the people I got to meet.
Yes
Don't be scared to apply to roles that are not similar to the course you're studying. The experience of working at these internships opens so many opportunities and it's a great job to balance with uni.
