The Role
I felt that the work was always enjoyable as it was a challenge, which required focus, but without being so difficult that I felt like I wanted to give up.
They were always very helpful, friendly and willing to answer any questions I had.
They always showed me an example of how to do a task before leaving me to do it on my own. It was a system which I found very helpful and allowed me to learn by watching, which I feel is very useful.
I always had something to do, without work just piling on top of me.
I feel that I was given a lot of responsibility, but only once that I had shown that I was capable of undertaking a task on my own.
I feel that the skills and other aspects of working life which I now have a better understanding of will come in very useful throughout my studies.
The Company
Everybody was very friendly and I feel that there was a very positive attitude to work in the office and that this ultimately helps you to approach your own work in a better way.
They had carefully planned out all of the work which I would do over the course of the week and showed me around the building as soon as I got there so that I knew where everything was.
They trusted me with important work and ensured that I knew how to approach it by investing some of their time in me.
Subsidised Canteen
Whilst it is a very nice place to work, I cannot see myself working here in the future.
The Culture
Everybody was very focused on their work and so there was not much of a social scene at all.
It was cheap as it is right next to Enfield Town which has lots of shops, many of which are very cheap.
There is not much nightlife in Enfield.
There are many sports clubs set up by Metaswitch which take place throughout the week.
