    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Summer Internship 1 (2022) - Flight System Test, Wind Tunnel Department: - Played an active role in assisting the team deliver the project they were working on - Helped physically, with tasks such as wiring etc. - Created engineering drawings - Involved in all team and department-wide meetings Summer Internship 2 (2023) - Typhoon Maintenance Capabilities & Enhancement, Fast Jet Support - Very restricted to get involved in team tasks, due to not being given ITAR clearance - Objectives set were to gain a higher-level view of what 'Support' do for the company - Mainly self-organised tours of other departments and teams to get a broader view of what the company does.

  • Summer Internship 1 (2022) - Flight System Test, Wind Tunnel Department: - Yes, very much so! Felt like a valued member of the team, and had a decent sized work portfolio to present at the end of the three months. Summer Internship 2 (2023) - Typhoon Maintenance Capabilities & Enhancement, Fast Jet Support - No, did not engage in the team work, no responsibilities given

  • It will require some adaptability, especially if you are from the South of England, e.g. London etc, though, you will find almost everyone is welcoming and helpful.
