Overview
My day to day role included managing ‘Generic Creative’ which was a digital content creation campaign that would get posted on Samsung UK socials. As well as that I managed Samsung KX Events, from reviewing event requests to reporting monthly on its data
Skills
Absolutely, I’ve learnt a variety of skills like Paid/Organic media, data analysis, content creations, leadership skills, strategy creation and implementation plus overall increased confidence & presentation skills
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility and a lot of trust. I created the strategy for Samsung KX Events which is a flagship store based in Kings Cross. I never imagined I would’ve been trusted enough to be able to do that but my team really believed in developing my skills & I’m so grateful for that experience
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support and guidance. My manager and I developed a really strong friendship & I received so much support from her & the rest of my team. The company is really built on regular feedback which is super constructive and helps you grow
Culture
It’s such a diverse and inclusive company. Since Samsung is a Korean company there is so much Korean influence such as having a Korean or Western option in the office canteen. It is a very fast paced atmosphere but it also quite laid back & not what I expected it to be, it’s not as corporate as you would imagine
Your Impressions
I absolutely LOVED my placement. It was so much fun, I was able to experience so many different events & develop so many skills as part of it. I built such good friendships with the placements around me but also my team. I would definitely recommend
Yes
I would recommend doing lots of research on the company and I’d recommend doing mock assessment centres if your university offers it.
