Overview
As part of a scrum team, I had specific tasks to work on which each took between 1-7 days to complete. I programmed in C++ to complete the tasks, and my tasks were based on improvements to Machine Simulation features in Fusion.
Skills
I learnt C++ skills, as well as communication skills as we had lots of meetings. I developed my problem solving skills with each task, as the given codebase was very big so required problem solving to get familiar with it. I also learnt Agile development practices.
Responsibilities
Yes, I felt that the tasks given were appropriate for the duration of my internship as they kept me occupied and also taught me a lot. I made real changes to Fusion which are visible.
Support & Guidance
I had a lot of support and guidance. I had a supervisor who came in everyday and was always happy to help, and I could ask for guidance when needed.
Culture
Everyone is really friendly and the general atmosphere is very relaxed and a great place to work at.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my internship!
Yes
Be yourself and enjoy the process. Everyone I met is really friendly and supportive and don't worry if you don't know something as your mentors will be happy to help you learn new things.
