Overview
Perform daily stand up to determine what work needs to be done for the ongoing project of our group. Also spent a lot of time learning about the organisation and its practices across different departments.
Skills
I learned how to work in adherence to realistic SCRUM practices and also developed my understanding of the technology involved in fullstack development cycles from backend database integration to frontend react.
Responsibilities
We were given complete responsibility of the project and received some small guidance when needed!
Support & Guidance
I received curated help in the form of linkedin video training subscriptions, in person meetings and online meetings from individuals directly involved with the specific technology at Barclays.
Culture
The culture is extremely nice, thoughtful, respectful and dedicated! A very warm and welcoming workplace!
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it a lot, the work I did was directly applicable to real world problems which provided a lot of motivation. The campus at Knutsford is full of recreational activities/facilities!
Yes
I would say to others to prioritise Barclays as a placement for internship or graduate positions over other companies that have been traditionally more popular!
